Urban design provides a lot of scope for site design according to the various natural resources available to be manipulated into a functional design. The availability of water bodies plays a major role in climate and microclimate control. The concept of this project briefly deals with linearity and enhancing visual connectivity and climate control within the site.
The city of Abu Dhabi also promotes heritage and culture in the form of public parks, souqs, museums, etc, with their unique architecture and design so as to connect their tradition with the simultaneous development of the city as time passes. The contemporary building facade is inspired by a traditional Arabic “mashrabiya”; a perforated screen that forms patterns on an adjoining surface when light is thrown on it.
